By using our website, browsing our products, creating an order, or completing a purchase, you agree to follow these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use our website or place an order with us.

Products And Services

The Reading Room Studio sells curated book boxes, including Blind Date With A Spicy Book products, themed book boxes, handmade items, limited edition items, personalised products and additional gift style items.

Each box is carefully curated and prepared by hand. As some products are mystery, surprise, personalised, handmade or limited edition, the exact contents may vary depending on availability, customer selections, stock levels and the nature of the product purchased.

We aim to describe our products clearly and accurately, but packaging, colours, editions, book covers, scents, extras and small details may vary. Product images are for guidance only and may not always show the exact item you receive.

We reserve the right to change, update, remove, limit or discontinue products at any time.

Orders And Payment

All orders must be paid for in full at the time of purchase. Prices are shown in GBP unless stated otherwise.

Once you place an order, you are responsible for ensuring that all details are correct, including your name, delivery address, email address, product choices, personalisation details and any preferences selected.

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel or refund an order if there is an issue with payment, stock availability, incorrect pricing, suspected fraud, incorrect customer information, or circumstances outside of our control.

For personalised, handmade, limited edition or custom made products, cancellations may not be possible once work has begun or items have been sourced, prepared or packed.

Shipping And Delivery

Shipping and delivery are handled in line with our Shipping policy.

Orders are processed and dispatched in line with the timeframes shown on our website or product listings. As many of our products are curated and prepared by hand, dispatch times may vary depending on order volume, stock availability and seasonal demand.

Delivery times are estimates only. Once an order has been dispatched, delays caused by postal services, couriers, strikes, weather, customs, incorrect addresses or other circumstances outside of our control are not the responsibility of The Reading Room Studio.

Customers must provide a full and accurate delivery address. If an order is delayed, lost, returned or undeliverable due to incorrect customer information, additional postage fees may apply.

Returns And Refunds

Returns and refunds are handled in line with our Return Policy.

Eligible returns may be accepted within 14 days of delivery where the full order is unopened, sealed, unused, undamaged, uneaten and in its original condition.

Due to the nature of our products, certain items cannot be returned once opened, used, eaten, damaged or tampered with. This includes skincare, food, beverages and other sealed items.

Blind Date With A Spicy Book products are mystery items, meaning we do not offer refunds or returns simply because a customer changes their mind, dislikes the book selected, already owns the book, or does not enjoy the contents, unless the item arrives faulty, damaged or incorrect.

Personalised, handmade, limited edition or custom made items cannot be returned, refunded or cancelled once work has begun, unless they arrive faulty, damaged or incorrect.

If your order arrives extremely damaged, incorrect, or with items missing, please email customerservice@thereadingroomstudio.com within 48 hours of delivery. Please include your order number, a clear explanation of the issue and photographic evidence.

Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method. Once processed, it may take 5 to 7 business days for the credit to appear in your account, depending on your payment provider.

Intellectual Property

All content belonging to The Reading Room Studio, including our branding, product names, product descriptions, photographs, graphics, website content, packaging designs, written materials and social media content, is owned by The Reading Room Studio unless otherwise stated.

You may not copy, reproduce, edit, resell, distribute, use or claim our content as your own without written permission from us.

Reselling

Products purchased from The Reading Room Studio are for personal use only unless otherwise agreed in writing.

No custom, handmade, designed or branded products created by The Reading Room Studio may be resold, copied, reproduced, repackaged, altered, claimed as your own work, or used for commercial purposes without our written permission. This includes our logos, designs, packaging concepts, written materials, product names, handmade items and any custom elements clearly stated to be created by The Reading Room Studio.

Not all products contain custom, handmade or designed items. However, where a product listing, product description, packaging or included material clearly states that an item is custom, handmade, designed or created by The Reading Room Studio, those items are protected under this section.

Limitation Of Liability

The Reading Room Studio is not responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential losses connected to the use of our website, products or services.

We do our best to ensure our website, product listings and information are accurate, but we cannot guarantee that our website will always be free from errors, interruptions or outdated information.

We are not responsible for delays, losses or issues caused by third party services, including payment providers, postal services, couriers, suppliers or website platforms.

Changes To These Terms

We reserve the right to update, change, replace or remove parts of these Terms of Service at any time.
